History
Vitabond® Adhesives, formerley part of Vita Industrial
Polymers, has recently become a division of Vita Liquid
Polymers Ltd. Synergies will be achieved through group marketing
and R&D, whilst manufacturing and customer support still
remain at the original Salford site.
Technology
The Vitabond® range includes hot-melt, water-based, solvent-based, and plastisol products formulated from SBR, Neoprene, Polyurethane, PVA, EVA and PVC. Vitabond's products can be applied using a variety of techniques, including aerosol application. Custom mixing is available for all types of adhesive, sealant and coating.
Product Range
Adhesives
Vitabond's technical team is very
aware of current and foreseeable future environmental
regulations and has developed a range of sprayable two-part
water-based contact adhesives to provide a highly performant
alternative to solvent based adhesive that also provides
a better employee work environment. With the recent acquisition
of Roberts Holland, an extensive range of neoprene solvent
based adhesives with high heat resistence further compliments
the already extensives adhesives range.
Flooring:
Neoprene solvent based adhesives designed specifically
for the flooring industry.
Furniture
and Foam industry: Solvent and water-based adhesives
for use in the manufacture of both wooden furniture and
foam upholstery. A new concept in foam bonding adhesive
has very recently been developed specifically for office
seating.
Aerosols:
Solvent based adhesives and paints available in easy to
use aerosol form. Examples of use include flooring and
upholstery adhesives, and road marking paints.
Tyre
and retread industry: Solvent and water based adhesives
for the retread industry, and various tyre identification
paints.
Filtration
Industry: Adhesive plastisols suitable for air, oil
and fuel filters and solvent seam seal adhesives used
in the manufacture of phenolic paper filter cartridges.
Packaging
and laminating industries: A range of solvent and
water based adhesives for use within these industries.
Hot
melt adhesives: For use in a variety of industries.
Examples include packaging, filtration, fabric coating.
Sealants
A range of specialist sealants for the automotive industry.
Coatings
Polyurethane, hypalon, neoprene and plastisol spread
coatings: Specifically designed for the coated fabrics
industry.
