Textiles: Incorporating Tuftex®, synthetic latex based back
coatings providing dimensional stability and tuft retention and Easifoam®,
a range of natural latex based gel and non-gel foam back coatings for washable
bath mats and carpets.
Easifoam® non-gel foam compounds are typically applied
to pre-coated tufted carpets as a foam cushion underlay.
Easifoam® gel foam compounds are used for contract
quality carpets, carpet tiles and washable rugs and bathroom sets. They
can be embossed before the curing process to provide an aesthetically attractive
surface pattern and enhance physical properties including abrasion and wash
resistance.
Gel foam compounds can be supplied as a two or three shot system. The two
part, or "self gel" compound is applied directly onto the carpet
via a foaming machine. The three shot system requires the injection of an
ammonia based gel into the foaming machine before application onto the carpet.
This second system is a more controlled system, whereas the "self gel"
is an easier to use method of application.
Fire retardant versions of all these products can be supplied.
The Tuftex® floorcovering's range incorporates synthetic
latex, natural latex and PVC backings.
Back sizing compounds can be applied using a bath/lick roll system and both
foamable and unfoamed systems are available. Unitary compounds can be applied
by bath/lick roll method or by direct spread. Anti-static and impervious
versions make up part of our product range. We manufacture secondary precoat
and adhesives for direct spread applications and jute lock systems, again
available with anti-static and fire retardant properties.
One shot secondary compound for bath/lick roll method can be offered in
either foamed or unfoamed versions. Sprayable secondary compounds for hand
made and "made to measure" high quality carpets have also been
developed and can be offered to suit your individual needs. For the backing
of carpet tiles and mats we manufacture latex precoats and PVC Plastisols
as a cleaner, durable alternative to bitumen. This also gives an impervious
finish.
Bonding: Foam and fibre impregnation compounds to impart
FR / microwave absorption / chemical absorption and/or mouldability.
Filtration: Edge seal and filter media compounds that modify
porosity and/or enhance filter cleaning.
Wallcoverings: Blown and compact aqueous coatings for wallpaper
